This building was constructed for the Expo 2008. The pavilion is shaped like a wicker basket suspended on three pillars, leaving a free space below that is used as a plaza during the event. The fašade consists of layers of intertwined panels of glass and micro-concrete with white glass fibre, providing the interior with a large quantity of natural light. This weave is opaque in the base, becoming more transparent as the building gets higher. The lighting is further guaranteed by six skylights above. The floor plan measures 50x50m with minor differences by floor because of its external shape. The pavilion has 3,000 square meters of exhibition area in addition to smaller rooms, administrative offices, a cafeteria and a large terrace. During the international event the pavilion explains the developments of the relationship between water and the region of Aragon. After the Expo, the pavilion will be used by the Government of Aragon.
