This primary school is at the heart of the village of Duvin in the Grisons. As with the majority of Caminada's buildings from this time, it is built using the Strickbau, or laced wood beam construction. The challenge with such a construction method is the limit that is placed on the size of openings that can be achieved. Caminada worked with engineer Jurg Conzett to overcome this problem by involving composite wood and concrete floors to provide extra stability.
