This Zumthor church in a small village located in the Mountains is “a cylinder that turns into an oval and then into a keel: the geometry of this church, however definite, is also dynamic and elusive to the eye, all this exacerbated by the implantation of the building on a steep slope.”The church has a wooden construction and the façade is made with wooden shingles, wooden snips, similar to the locally build houses. The building is very carefully detailed even on places you would normally not come (like behind the concrete stairs of the entrance). The setting is wonderful.

How to get there? Take the car to Sumvitg in the canton of Graubünden. In this village is one road up to San Benedigt (different ways to write). It's about a km tough climbing for the car. In San Benedigt it is easy to find your way to the church.
