Architect Gion A. Caminada lives and works in the village of Cons, 1 km from Vrin. He is known for his traditional approach to architecture; traditional in the sense of using mainly wood as his material and using the skills and techniques of local carpenters. And yet, his architecture surprises through its great innovations and lovely details. In Vrin, he implemented many projects, among them a municipal house, a multi-purpose hall, a morgue, a slaughterhouse with sheds, a bus stop, several detached houses and a telephone booth.
