Bloomberg is an American news, data and media service provider, with their own TV and radio stations, providing information for the financial services. Since their beginnings in the USA in the early 1980s, they have steadily expanded and now have offices around the world. This project, their London headquarters, is formed of two buildings: a conversion of a former gentleman's club designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott in the 1920s and a 17.000 square metre new build by Foster & Partners. Both old and new are united by Powell-Tuck's colourful interiors - in fact many critics would claim that the interior is more successful than the exterior. The premises enjoy a huge art collection along with one of the largest aquaria collections in Europe - employing two full-time marine biologists to maintain it.
