Camden Arts Centre
Camden Arts Centre is a publicly funded contemporary visual arts centre in North London, with a successful history of exhibitions and education. A creative hub - a stimulating and welcoming place where you can actively engage with art, artists and ideas through a challenging and frequently changing programme of exhibitions and education. The original Victorian building was refurbished and extended with a new public concourse in the ground floor that visibly connects the neighbourhood to the café and garden and places the bookshop on view from the street. The architectural intervention on the first floor is so subtle, it is almost invisible. The different characters of the gallery spaces have been maintained, while their functionality has been radically improved. Get down to Camden Arts Centre's Cafe on Wednesday evenings over the summer for sizzling and original barbeque fare in the beautiful garden. Food served 6-8pm, drinks available, Galleries and Cafe open until 9pm.
