Chiat Day Office Building

Frank Gehry's Chiat/Day office building is a collaborative project with Claes Oldenburg and Coosje van Bruggen who are known for their monumental artworks of everyday objects. The binoculars at the entrance contain two small conference rooms with the eyepieces serving as skylights for the rooms. The building also showcases one of Gehry's first uses of a thin metal panel skin, seen in his later works like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.
