The Ziggurat is a ten-storey high office building, designed to resemble the ancient Mesopotamian ziggurats. The entire building was designed according to the principles of Feng Shui. Its distinct pyramid design dominates the skyline across the Sacramento River from Old Town Sacramento. Upon completion in 1997, the Ziggurat was used as the Money Store Western Headquarters, now it is a government building. Its functions include offices, underground parking spaces, a cafeteria and a four-storey high atrium.
