Wallace K. Harrison was one of the great form-givers of twentieth century architecture. He said his work on the Fish Church in Stamford, CT was "The most satisfying job I ever worked on." His unique design uses 152 concrete panels, rising to a height of sixty feet, to support the structure. Set in the panels are 20,000 pieces of dalle de verre stained glass. With the Fish Church, Harrison answered his question ... "Have you ever thought what it would be like to live inside a giant sapphire?"
