In the upcoming month we are highlighting the best of Vancouver in Mi Destinations.

Over the last years I had the pleasure to work with many great and extremely kind creatives here in Amsterdam, who always seemed to be from the same place: Vancouver. Talking to them, I was surprised by the versatility of the place and it’s connection to nature and sports. My colleague Chloe told me, “No, we actually have an amazing beach in Vancouver Long Beach”.

My Euro-centered mind was boggled. Haven’t visited Canada, I didn’t exactly associate Canada much with the beach culture, let alone that this place been topping charts as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. I fell into the old trap of cliché’s! Time to expand my horizons; here at the MIMOA headquarters agreed that Vancouver is the new perfect Mi Destination.

Talking to Chloe has shown me how much her home ground fueled her love for the outdoors and active sports. And as you can see on our list on MIMOA – that has been shining through in the current list of architectural sights we have on our site. The Vancouver Olympic Centre, The aquatic centre at Hillcrest park and The Richmond Olympic Oval are topping our list.
