Update: Mi guide is more public

Mi guide menu update

This Mi guide update is aimed to make the Mi guide more public. Many MIMOA members are making their own architecture guides, and want to share them with others. Now there are more ways to easily find those guides.

First of all we’ve added some new pages to the menu.
Selected guides:
here you’ll get an overview of nice, special and complete guides that were made by other contributors. Have you seen, or did you create a guide that should be in this list? Share it with us and we’ll add it!
Latest guides:
this is an overview of all the latest guides that have been created or modified. Just like the latest projects.

Secondly, on each project, you can see a list of guide(s) that feature the selected project.
Just underneath the ‘Opening hours’ and ‘How to get there’ you find a new tab which tells you in who’s guide the project is included. Click on the tab ‘This project is part of x guides’. Easy to click through and find an appropriate guide – instead of making your own.

Have fun!

As you all know: the Mi guide isn’t perfect. There still is no map included and you can not easily add a dozen projects to your guide all at once. We also want to include more personal editable pages and the possibility to make routes. That’s why we keep on working to make the Mi guide better, more advanced and easy to use. If you have any suggestions, or feedback on how to improve the Mi guide, please let us know.

To ensure you have all necessary information at hand while traveling through Europe, you can prepare yourself by making your own free personal Architecture Guide. Select projects, set them in a convenient order, make a PDF or print it. You can make multiple guides, choose to show them in public and share with others. Add your personal image to the guide and tell a friend.

How to make your guide? Simple, login and start with a project you’d like to add and click the + Mi guide button. Then you’ll get a pop-up, asking to which guide you want to add this project. To see an overview of all your guides, go to MENU >> MI PAGES >> MI GUIDES

This is still a free beta-version of the Mi guide. Unfortunately we can not (yet) include a map in the PDF since Google Maps does not allow us to print their maps. So, the next version of the Mi guide will have a map ánd a tool to create a route on the map.

The Mi guide is under development right now. The Mi guide is your personal architecture guide to see your favorite projects in real life. The first release is expected to be online at the end of December.

To ensure you have all necessary information at hand while you are traveling through Europe, you can prepare yourself by making your own personal Architecture Guide. Select projects, set them in a convenient order, and make a pdf or print it; including addresses and photos. In a later stadium you can even add some data like names of all travel companions, a personal front cover or directions of your hotel.
Sounds like heaven? Just hang on, we’re working on it!
