Next Friday the 29th of October we will be celebrating MIMOA's third birthday, during Architecture @DDW: one day filled with architecture, organised within the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven. Here's a final update:

Architecture @DDW contains 3 separate parts:
* Exclusive Architecture Tour (registration closed!)
* 'Meet & Mingle' network starts at 17:00hr
* Sensational architects party starts at 20:00hr

Click on the links above to see the architects, urban developers, designers or photographers who have registered so far, and if you haven't done so yet, add your name to the list.

Admission is free. Drinks and bites are on the account of the organisation of Architecture @DDW, sponsored by partners, for as long as our budget suffices! Follow us on twitter to make sure you don't miss anything. Hashtag: #archddw

We will close the final registration on Tuesday October 26, at 20:00hr CEST.
We hope to meet you on the 29th of October in Eindhoven!

MIMOA publication: Architecture Guide Eindhoven

On the occasion of Architecture @DDW, MIMOA has published an exclusive Architecture Guide for Eindhoven.

We're very proud of this guide. It is our first large publication, a 'real book', counting 128 full colour pages, containing 44 modern architecture projects, covering the centre as well as the outskirts of the city, embellished with the beatiful photos of Nobert van Onna, created with the help of many.

Come and collect your edition at Architecture @DDW, or see the digital version on our blog >>

6 pitches at Architecture @DDW

At the Architecture @DDW network reception 6 companies will present themselves during a 10-minute pitch in an informal setting.
All 6 are practicing some kind of interesting business that's rubbing to the field of architecture in some kind of way… Curious? Come and join us!

Pitch #1: Trespa International

Trespa is a leading global producer of innovative and inspirational façade solutions. At DDW 2010, Trespa presents together with Arpa the creative variety of their HPL solutions at the 'experience your creativity' stand. Visitors experience the features of the high-performance panels for stunning façades by Trespa and the wide range of collections for interiors >>

Pitch #2: De Architect

Dutch Architecture magazine De Architect is curious to know your thoughts on the projects you will be visiting during the The Architecture @DDW tour. They invite you to share your thoughts, criticism and observations during the day via Twitter by using the hashtag #archddw in your tweets. Use the #archddw hashtag during the day whenever you feel like sharing your thoughts >>

Pitch #3: UNITiD

UNITiD is a unit of interaction designers based in Amsterdam. We design digital products. Like the MIMOA website, MIMOA layer on Layar and most recently the iPhone app. The iPhone app is based on a product we are developing, called MAPPS: an affordable location based application. With Mapps you can easily make geo based information available to your customers >>

Pitch #4: Freedom Of Creation

Freedom Of Creation believes in a future where data is the design product, and where products are distributed in the same way images and music travel through the internet today. FOC visions a future where storage is virtual, and the materials used for creating tangible products can be recycled and reused for any future creation people's hearts desire >>

Pitch #5: 40WATT

40WATT is a proactive promotion and production studio, situated in Eindhoven. The focus is currently on 'our own' city, with Eindhoven in the limelight, but plans to conquer other cities are firmly underway. The inner city is our home and we therefore know like no other all that's going on. 40WATT is slightly cheeky and wonderfully innovative >>

Pitch #6: RNul Interactive

Rnul Interactive deals with interactivity in a wide sense. Installations and performances in which sound, (moving) images and physical movements are used to get an interaction with the 'user'. We use all kinds of ways to analyse the behaviour of visitors to use this information to respond to them. This interaction is translated in a way that a vistor becomes a part of the work itself >>
