The annual congress of de Architect

Visit the annual congress of De Architect on October 14th 2009 in the Scheepvaart & Transport College of Neutelings Riedijk in Rotterdam. Theme: Architecture & Housing. See the programme here.

The future of residential planning and architecture is changing under the influence of social and economic trends. Unlike the past, when architects and planners were looking for the solution to housing demands in the outskirts of our cities, the focus has shifted to restructuring the urban fabric. This presupposes a more responsible role for housing in society. Be inspired by the vision of leading architects like Stephen Taylor, Dick van Gameren, Rudy Uytenhaak and Thijs Asselbergs and many other specialists.

MIMOA occupied a stand in a market setting, where approximately 20 companies showcased their latest and greatest business ideas, showing both starting and established entrepreneurs. During the day we met quite some interesting visitors, who challenged us to think on new business models, and offered fresh perspectives on MIMOA.
